17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. 18 Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation, 19 that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation.

- 2 Corinthians 5:17-19 NKJV

Salvation Prayer

If you have never confessed and accepted Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior you can do this right now. Just confess this:

"Lord Jesus Christ I ask You to be my personal Lord and Savior. I invite You and give You permission to come into my heart to lead me and direct me in every step. Forgive me for all the sins that I've committed, even those that I don't even remember.

I believe that Jesus Christ died on the Cross and paid the full price for every one of my sins so that I could have eternal life with Jesus. I also believe Jesus permanently defeated Satan. Jesus resurrected from the dead and now sits at the right hand of God Almighty".

8 But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith which we preach): 9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 11 For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.” 12 For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him. 13 For “whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.”

- Romans 10:8-13 NKJV

Meet Our Founders

Pastors Pete Jr. and Mary Alice Garza are both ordained and licensed ministers who have been in the ministry for over 30 years. They are both founders and pastors at His Church of Reconciliation in Yoakum, Texas. The Lord has instructed them to reach the lost, hurting, and rejected people and bring them back to restore their personal relationship with the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. The Lord uses this couple strongly in leading many people to salvation, healing, prophesy, deliverance, evangelism, teaching, training discipleship, street ministry, jail ministry, and pastoral in an effective manner for Jesus Christ. Pastor Pete Jr. is a Vietnam Veteran who served in the United States Army. He and his wife have been married for more than 26 years. They each came into the marriage with two children of their own. They are now blessed with three wonderful sons, one daughter, and two wonderful daughters-in-law. They also have several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The two met at a church in San Antonio, Texas, where Pete began as a Deacon and was promoted as a licensed and ordained minister. Mary Alice began as a youth teacher and later advanced to a Youth Church Director. Both had previously struggled with broken marriages. This marriage, however, is different as both decided to allow Jesus to perform a miracle in their union. Pete and Mary Alice decided that divorce would never be an option or solution to any difficult problem. What appeared to be an impossible marriage to everyone around resulted in a powerful opportunity for God to step in and perform a mighty miracle within.

Statement of Faith

We believe in God the eternal King. He is the only One True God who is the Creator and Redeemer of all. He alone is perfect, holy, just, truthful and loving. The Bible teaches that the Godhead consists of three divine Persons—Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit—each fully God, each showing fully the divine nature.

Our Vision

As is written in 2 Corinthians 5:18-19, "Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation. That is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation."

The Lord instructed us:

  • To bring the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the city of Yoakum, Texas

  • To go and preach the good news, the Gospel of Jesus Christ

  • To teach and direct the lost and hurting people towards Jesus Christ

  • To see people get saved, healed, and delivered through the preaching of the Gospel

  • To train people, equip them, and when ready, send them out to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ to as many as will hear and receive HIM

  • To show forth love to all we come in contact with and to teach others to forgive and love one another, as God has forgiven and loved us

The primary goal of this ministry is to introduce and reveal the powerful resurrection of Jesus Christ. The Lord, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. We aim to make you experience and retain a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

Salvation frees us from the power of the devil. As a believer, we operate and witness God's miracles, signs, and wonders. We demonstrate God's grace, His unconditional love, and transforming power for everyone. We embrace the biblical government of apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers.

The Lord gave us a vision that we would have a woman’s shelter for women and children in distress or those released from jail and prison. Pastor Mary Alice has been involved with a woman's jail ministry.

The Lord revealed Satan's precise plan and desire to destroy men and women. It is a plot Satan uses to deceive and trap men and women to keep them bound to their sins in a manner that they believe and accept they could never escape. God has otherwise proven Himself to these men and women by setting them free.

1 The Spirit of the Lord GOD [is] upon me, because the LORD has anointed me to preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to [those who are] bound;

2 To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all who mourn,

3 To console those who mourn in Zion, To give them beauty for ashes, The oil of joy for mourning, The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; That they may be called trees of righteousness, The planting of the LORD, that He may be glorified.

4 And they shall rebuild the old ruins, they shall raise up the former desolations, and they shall repair the ruined cities,

the desolation of many generations.

5 Strangers shall stand and feed your flocks, and the sons of the foreigner [Shall be] your plowmen and your vine-dressers.

6 But you shall be named the priests of the LORD, They shall call you the servants of our God. You shall eat the riches of the Gentiles, and in their glory you shall boast.

7 Instead of your shame [you shall have] double [honor], and [instead of] confusion they shall rejoice in their portion. Therefore, in their land they shall possess double; Everlasting joy shall be theirs.

- Isaiah 61:1-7

Jail Ministry

His Church of Reconciliation is committed to providing bible studies to ladies in jail. The Lord is breaking the vicious cycle of generational curses that has kept His people in bondage for far too long. Transformation begins with having the mind of Christ Jesus.

"The Spirit of the LORD is upon Me, Because He has anointed Me To preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, To set at liberty those who are oppressed; To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD."

- Luke 4:18-19

If you know someone in the Hallettsville County Jail or DeWitt County Jail that needs prayer or spiritual guidance please contact Pastor Mary Alice Garza at hischurchofreconciliation@yahoo.com.

Women’s Fellowship

Women’s fellowship happens every 2nd Saturday of each month, 10:00 AM at His Church of Reconciliation.

"No longer do I call you servants, for a servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things that I heard from My Father I have made known to you. You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you. These things I command you, that you love one another.”

- John 15:15-17

Shelter for Women

There are women that end up in jail due to wrong life choices. Even in selecting our friends, we need the Lord’s wisdom in making these decisions. The difficult part is when the wrong influences are within your family members. This is when you must sincerely examine yourself and make a godly decision and allow Jesus Christ to step in and show you exactly what He has created and called you for.

The Lord has given us a vision and instructed us to build a shelter for women who truly desire a better lifestyle for themselves. Separating themselves from all forms of addictions (prescription drugs, etc.), alcohol, stealing, lying, lust, perversion, poverty, depression, and sickness.

The Lord has deployed us to break generational curses and demonic soul ties and to be introduced to a Savior that already paid a price in full by dying on the Cross. Jesus Christ paid the ultimate price for all of our sins so we may be free from all demonic power. It is only by having a personal relationship with God our Father, Jesus Christ the Son, and the precious Holy Spirit.

For those involved in this program, we will provide spiritual guidance, GED preparations for testing, college education preparations, employment training skills, along with housing assistance.
